sthlm

Heyo!

My sister and I went to Stockholm for a long weekend trip on Saturday. We stayed at Mornington Bromma Hotel which was quite close to Friends Arena and also not too far away from the central Stockholm. The main point of our trip was Coldplay's concert on Sunday, and it was amazing! But before we got there, we spent a day in Gamla Stan, right after shopping of course.

Gamla Stan is so pretty, I love old buildings and the small alleys. We just walked around aimlessly enjoying the city. Also every time we found a nice spot to take pictures, we did.

On Sunday was the long waited concert of Coldplay! We had golden circle tickets and didn't really know how good the tickets actually were before we got there. It was the best surprise ever. My sister is a huge fan and it was so incredible that we actually ended up in the front row at one point. The show was amazing, all the lights and the feeling and it was just wonderful. Coldplay played a nice variety of old and new songs. All the songs were great, but I especially enjoyed Hymn For The Weekend and Paradise.

(All the pictures taken during the concert are my sis', so a big thanks to her ♥)

Happy Easter!

Heyo!
Finally it's Easter break and I got time to rest and concentrate on my pre tasks for the uni I'm applying to (wanna get in to Aalto University). Yesterday I went to Nuuksio with Nairje and Bogey to take some pictures of a rain coat that I made, and now I still have a collection to design and a collage to do. It's gonna be a lot of work.

Usually my family would go to my aunt's house for an Easter brunch, but we had to schedule it a week earlier this year. So last weekend we celebrated Easter together with a lot of food and some good old boardgames.

Tea Day

Saturday was the first official tea day in Finland and my friend Sussu invited me to join her on a tea walk. So there we went. At 12 o'clock it started and all the participants gathered in the Ounce, which is a tea house in Iso Roobertinkatu (you can also find a smaller shop in Fredrikinkatu). There we got to take part in tea tasting. 4 different types of tea and we had to name them. Winner will be randomly chosen from those who had the right answers, so let's keep our fingers crossed! We got to know a little bit more about the tea house itself and their products.

Next stop was Demmers Teehause where we were served black tea with white cheese and green tea with goat cheese, dark chocolate and sugar coated, dried flower pedals were available. Ceramic designer Sami Rinne was also there to promote his products and we got to enjoy our teas from the interesting, pretty cups.

Third tea house was called TeeMaa. We got to taste some chinese dark tea and also green tea from the cutest little cups. What I really liked was that we got to know a little bit more about the shop and where most of the teas come from. In the shop they also had some paintings and silk scarves which were made by using ink and in some cases even tea. Those were beautiful and I kinda wanted to buy a silk scarf, but ended up not to.

Last stop was Théhuone which is in Eerikinkatu. The tea house served us some Japanese green tea. Also we got to taste some freshly made macha, which was made for us by Markku Peltola.
All and all the day was great, I got to know a lot about these different tea houses and teas in general. I would definitely go to a tea walk again if I get the chance.

New Year in Luton

Happy New Year!

I had a very special new year this time, I went to UK to see my friend. I had no idea where exactly I was going, since my friend, Tatiana, had only told me that she lives somewhere about 20 mins from London, which obviously doesn't tell me anything. So I got to London on 30th of December and Tatiana picked me up and we went to.. Luton! I stayed there in the student village with her and her flat mates. I got to know two very lovely girls, Becca and Hanicka, whom we spent most of our time with.

I went to London almost two years ago so I didn't need to do any of the turisty stuff this time, just focused on having fun and getting to know people. On New Year's Eve, four of us went to a house party and celebrated the beginning of the new year there. The best thing about that house party was definitely a bunny! There was the cutest little bunny ever, it was called Meatball, and I spent most of my time petting it.

On the first of January we didn't really do much, a little shopping and chilling. On the second Tatiana and I went to London for shopping. We only went to two shops; Victoria's Secret and Ted Baker, which both had sales. We both ended up spending more than we should have, whoopsie. And shopping didn't end there, the next day we went to Milton Keynes, to a big shopping mall, with Hanicka and Alex. The bus ride was ridiculously long and none of us actually knew exactly how to get to the place.

After shopping we had a cozy night at the student village, just playing board games (such as Tales of the Arabian Nights and Cards Against Humanity) and eating pizza.I'm so gonna get both of those games!
On my last night in Luton we went out to  a karaoke bar, we didn't sing anything though. Poor Tatiana was sick the whole time I was there, and I got a bit sick too after like my first day, so there was no chance that we would have wanted to sing infront of everyone with horrible voices.
I came back yesterday night and I wish I could have stayed there longer. I had so much fun and I got to know incredible people, who I can't wait to meet again xx

autumn break

I know, it's been ages since I last wrote anything and I'm sorry about that. The truth is I have been lazy. Summer went past like super fast and most of my plans got cancelled. I didn't feel like writing about watching netflix or how I was sick for few weeks.

Now it's the end of autumn break and it's been wonderful! On Friday was Miyavi's concert at Nosturi, and it was awesome! I really loved the show, and I have to admit it didn't even matter that I went there alone (I was a bit nervous about that at first).

On Saturday I went to the "I love me" fair with my mom. I was very satisfied with the fair, there were plenty of interesting stands and shows. At first, we went to see "I love fashion" fashion show, which included clothing from eg Jukka Rintala and Mert Otsamo, and also shoes from Minna Parikka. I love Minna Parikkas shoes, especially her "bunny shoes", those are so adorable!
Rest of the time we spent going through different stands. I wish we would have had a bit more time, since we didn't get to go through the whole area. Maybe next time then.
Obviously we both bought a lot of things from the fair, mine listed below. I think my favourite item is the moomin sequin dress by Ivana Helsinki, it's so cute and sparkly!

Midsummer

Great Midsummer!

I spent my Midsummer's Eve home with my mom and my sister. Nothing really fancy, we had nice dinner and went to sauna, and that's pretty much it. I didn't do any Midsummer magics this year or went to a summer cottage. So this year the whole Midsummer has been relaxing and calm.
Today we had a lovely day with my realatives; my mom, my cousin and her parents. I had been craving for crepes for at least a week now and finally today I got to eat some! They were so delicious, like everything else we had on the table.

Improved

Finally it's SUMMER!

I had my last day at work on Saturday and now I have about two months of holidays ahead of me. I can't wait to have so much done during the summer! I'm planning on painting, sewing (doing lots of artistic stuff in general) and most importantly spending a lot of time with my friends. I'm going to go on a road trip with Sara and P_Devil next week. I'm enthusiastic to see what's it going to be like, but you'll find out more about the trip later.

Today I went to a.k.a. LUOVA to have my hair cut. I think now it is a lot more what I was looking for when I first decided to cut my hair short. Short from the back, so you can see my tattoo, and longer from the front.
